Kenya: Civil Society Scores Victory Against Corruption - Inter Press Service

Two days after publicly vowing to die rather than resign, Kenya's powerful finance minister, Amos Kimunya, announced he was resigning to allow an independent investigation of corruption charges against him.

Why can't Kenyan's demand for the DG of Intelligence and the Central Bank to step down? They are both corrupt and should be sacked since their hands are equally stained. All of them slept in one bed with the Finance Minister and are now trying to distance themselves. Civil Society should not rest and dig up all the buried cases and humiliate all the corrupt ministers one by one to the point they will never make a public attempt to a political comeback. I will make sure I support the Name and Shame coalition and let there be justice in Kenya. The MPs decided on a Grand Coalition thinking their grand theft ambitions would remain covert, but this is the time that Kenyans should stand united and have all of those with Kleptomaniacs sacked. Kenyans must fight to improve their own standard of living rather than fatten the MPs living as Kings in a country with 60% of the population living below the poverty line. Let us not rejoice so fast about the 1st time in history that a powerful minister fell from grace...we still live with hyenas and rattle snakes in our midst that will change their minds if bribed with the right amount money to continue perpetuating grand theft and grand corruption cover up. Besides the chameleon was riding on the horse's tail all along before the election and the horse predicted that as they would approach STATEHOUSE the chameleon would jump in the throne. That is how Agwambo lost the elections....because they were rigged IN FAVOR OFF Baba Jimmy. Now he has to swallow his pride and see how his home boys from the Mountain will be sacked one by one. Remember, Agwamba and others that have wananchi at heart. You live in the House with the Chameleon and that is a critical factor that should not be ignored. Remember, Agwambo you said that the chameleon has many faces... so don't be a fool and relax because of your security detail, fancy cars...and title of PM. It’s just the beginning of your troubles and you must remain vigilant 24x7. Hope all MPs including the ones from the other side of the Mountain remain on guard and don't allow yourself to be slapped in the face by 1st Lady. There are MP's from the Mountain region that have integrity and we must support them for their stance. Those of you from the Mountain that didn't support the disgraced Finance Minister will face the 1st ladies wrath once you set foot within the parameters of State House. You will be slapped and humiliated anytime you seek to undermine Baba Jimmy's support pillars. This is the biggest humiliation for a Kenyan man to allow himself to be slapped in the face by the 1st lady who has lost her marbles. IT’S TIME TO CLEAN UP GRAND CORRUPTION THAT HAS THRIVED IN KENYA AND HAS NEVER BEEN TAMED.

"When spider webs unite they can tie up the lion". Kudos for Civil Society in Kenya and Kudo's for the MPs that have demonstrated courage and the moral backbone by not being silenced because of Presidential ambitions or relations with the Mountain. Those MP's that kept quiet have huge skeletons in the closet and can only "throw stones" at political gatherings within their constituencies...forgetting they still live in a "glass house".
