The prosecutor of the newly-established International Criminal Court (ICC) today accused Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir of genocide and war crimes arising out of the war in Darfur.
The AU should intervene and not allow the new form of colonialism take root in africa.Which president is next?
Bashir is heartless butcher who turns against the people he supposes to protect as their leader; this is the 21st century where tyrannies need to end. This is a good sign for ICC leadership to standup for justice for all. Bashir must face the wound he has ignored far too long A man is born to respect others not depose them as beasts to earn respect to their personal misery.
This is a precedent seing move by the US and its allies to use the Internatonal criminal court to eliminate the black African countries targeted for the control and pillaging of their natural resources. As pointed out by Inter Press Services (Johannesburg) of Feb. 27, 2008, the civil wars and killings in Sudan was organized and constantly backed by the US that funneled nearly $20m worth of military equipment through Ethiopia, Eritrea and Uganda to the opposition to overthrow the government of President Omar al-Bashir. The goal of the US is to split Sudan as the US did in Ethiopia so that the Southern Sudan can be free for the US to colonize and PLUNDER THE NATURAL RESOURCES. In Sudan, President Omar al-Bashir cannot be accused of building weapons of mass destruction but by organizing and backing civil war in the Sudan, the US has found a creative way of using the ICC to black-mail President Omar al-Bashir. The next in line of black African leaders to be accused by the ICC will be Mugabe. If Africans do not show the world that this SMART TRICK that could ultimately lead to the desteruction of Africa WILL BE RESISTED, the black Africa is DOOMED!
Mr or Ms "gishola", I don't know where you are coming from! You talk about Black Africa. Read the fine prints. President Omar al-Bashir doesn't regard himself as a black African. He sees himself as an Arab. He's engaged in ethnic cleansing against indigenous black Africans who live in Darfur. It has become normal to blame the United States and President Bush for every crisis. The ICC move is NOT indictment against a black African leader as you would want us believe, but rather indictment on a man engaged in ethnic cleansing and marginalization against black Africans. Get back to the roots of the Darfur crisis and stop your US bashing!
TO Gishola: Who has washed your brain with western and US conspiracy that you talk like that ? You should go either back to the school or visit doctor !!! US is not even member country of ICC !!! Have you ever been in Sudan or have you met Sudanese ? I am working in International Organisation for migration in Bangkok and I see Sudanese refugees every single week and I heard their stories. Facts: 2 milions people died in civil war, 300 000 in last 5 years, 5 mil. refugees in the country where Al-Bashir is president for almost 20 years. And pls. let me remind you he goes of black Africans living in the south. As somebody noted he doesn´t recognize himself as black African. He deserves to face his crimes along with many of your other dictators as Mugabe,Obiang etc. Thanks butcher Charles Taylor is already there.
it seems you have all the answers. Now take this information to the fearles leaders and let them move forward with a plan that does not call for assistance from any Western or European allies. It seems that the Africans leaders are just as selfish and greedy as anybody else. the everyday person in Africa has no real voice. In America a person can have a say by voting or speaking out aganist things they do not like. This is done without fear. Yes America has problems but nothing compared to the African situation. When you read about certain countries in Africa it just make on think what's really going on there. After a while one becomes indifferent to the problems because there is no real change with the elected African leaders. Yes there are leaders who need to be brought to justice. In America there are no mass killings, rapes and other crimes like in Sudan and other countries who have rouge leaders. So instead of placing blame clean up your own country. When you point your finger out turn it around and start with the self.
The Gatekeeper
Following this multi-year episode of violence causes all of us to feel anxious. Thousands of innocents continue to suffer under this failed regime. Some who have witnessed these proceedings want not to see any connections between the radical regime of President Omar al-Bashir and the tragedy of innocents in Sudan. To allow any further decrease of human rights status of Sudanese minority ethnic groups without legal instruments suggests dysfunction has no natural or legal limits. Focusing on the motives of other states (the West) only explains the degree of threat toward other innocents. The "hysterie" of codependent behaviour models results in collaboration with non-trustworthy conspirators.
Once again, the West try to show black and african people that they control us and can divide us, but this time they will fail. Colonialism era is past. Black people in the world are getting more and more aware of our situation. None of those people(ICC,UN or Western Country)cared of the rwandan genocide, Congo(5Millions dead), Apartheid, and so on. Now they try to make us think that they will do justice. We black people are not so stupid. What a cursed people! Always trying to divid people, create war, coup, famine, showing on TV that they save black people dying of diseases and so on. Enough is enough
So your saying all the innocent people are dying and that somehow George Bush killed them.. Are you justifying their death with stupidity. Are you telling us just let the killing continue. Remember there are blacks in america and one is about to become president.
If you kill innocents they will be at the side of God (Allah)the day of your judgement.
I have noticed that on AllAfrica regardless topic US, Bush and colonialism must be blame all the times (never yourselves, interesting...). But actually many, maybe even somewhere most of the African would like to leave their country ASAP and go to US. When in Africa I am asked about 3times a day if I could help them to go there. Can pls. some African explain me this funny paradox? Other thing you do not make differences between ,,official state policy“ ,,normal people and not even talk about ,,individuals“, what is wrong. A collective guilt does not exist!!! Actually many Americans hate Bush so much...but you probably don not have any idea of that. I am from Czech Republic. During Second War World Germans killed almost 300 000 Czech people (you would use term my brothers and sisters). But do I hate or blame Germans for that? Of course not, those who did it are mostly dead by know. Today’s Germans have nothing to do with that. They just were born as Germans, as me Czech, as you African as somebody American. We did not have choice to be born somewhere else. Let me admit something.....yes colonialism destroyed traditional culture in Africa, yes agricultural policy of most western countries is killing Africa now, yes UN and other organisations been helpless as somebody said in Rwanda, DRK, yes western countries make policy depend on double standards and their interests etc. etc. Now is your turn to admit your problems and mistakes which are killing Africa now and try to face them and not to blame somebody else for it (to blame BBC for problems in Zimbabwe that’s just so funny).
Brother against brother. Sister against Sister. Brother against Sister and vice versa. Waking up early morning, is this all that is in our minds for the sake of wealth? Really?. Where are we heading?. The rest of the World is uniting! When are we going to start with ourselves? I know people in other continents have turned against themselves also, but they have worked that out to their own benefit. We need to look at ourselves. My next post is a poem titled "What did Africa do to deserve all this up to this very day".
We Africans must educate ourselves, especially by reading. We hardly buy magazines to read. How many of us subscribes to magazines, either African ones or not? Very few. Yet we like to talk so much and have so little information and knowledge. The chief problem of Africa is ignorance, not among the masses but among the so-called educated class. When one reads some of the views expressed here one will find out how uninformed many of us really are. Al-Bashir considers himself an Arab and the politics of Arab Supremacy in Sudan has been the main cause of the wars in the country since 1956. that is the fact. The Arabs in Sudan, even if their skin is dark, are very hostile to sub-Saharan Africans and any little physical feature matters in how you're treated in the Sudanese society. No wonder, someone once described Sudan as the most racist nation on earth. Akeem

Arabs has been killing, raping old women and girls in the name of ALLAH for centuries. They continue to this day in the Sudan. What is so evil is that they use their religion to justify their sick demon behaviour. Christians has been killing black Africans for centuries in the name of Jesus Christ. Africa needs leaders who can not be bought. Real leaders, not big belly tyrants. African need to subscribe to self- dependency and stop rely on Western assistance. One day African leaders will Unite. That will be dooms day for the west. Al- Bashir should be dealt with accordingly. He is a demonic big belly tyrant. Allah knows and sees everything.
When will the ICC issue an international warrant of arrest for George Bush for having invaded Iraq on false, fabricated reasons and having caused the death of millions of Iraq's people? Likewise, when will the ICC issue an international warrant of arrest for Bill Clinton and Tony Blaire for having sent the Tutsi-dominated armies of Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda to invade Congo? These Tutsi-dominated armies killed five millions civillians in Congo; they raped women in presence of their parents and brothers; and they burried women alive in mass-graves. All these with the blessings of the governments of USA and European countries that sought to have easy access to Congo's natural resources. Yet the Tutsi-ethnic presidents Paul Kaganme of Rwanda, Yoweri Museveni of Ouganda, and the former president of Burundi are walking freely and freely travelling around the world. For how long will Africa remain indifferent vis-a-vis the neo-colonialist, imperialistic double standards of the Western countries disguised under the so-called UN's institutions? What Africa needs is a revolution. Isn’t-it that it was by revolution that they got rid of colonialism on the continent?
