Liberia: Government Takes Steps to Speed Up Rape Cases - Liberia Government

the victims of rape in Liberia are the poorest of the poor who do not have rich mothers like the Ellen Sirleaf to fight for them. About a year ago immediately after her inauguration, a group of United Nations employees of Russian origin rape several girls in Liberia and their lawyer who was a sitting Senator give him them a free pass with the help of President Sirleaf's current county Attorney Mr. Sam Jacobs who benefited tremendously from the escaped Russians who escape prosecution in the case. There was no help from the Government to assist the parents of the girls because they were poor. secondly, how credible will the GOL be in prosecuting rape cases when the man in charge of the judicial system himself is a rapist? All of the nonsense about prosecuting rapes cases is a joke and shame for advocating something they do not have any credibility. The woman does not care for Liberian women. She just use them for political expediency and does not have the gut to the right thing.
