Uganda: Employers Return Mak Transcripts for Verification

Kampala — MANY employers and benefactors are flocking Makerere University's transcript office for verification of academic documents in the wake of increasing media reports that thousands of the university's alumni are potential fraudsters or impersonators.

From Scotland to South Africa, many are questioning transcripts allegedly issued by Makerere University. But while sections of the media have regaled readers with tales of uninhibited transcript forgery at Makerere, the nature and extent of the forgeries can be exclusively revealed today.
