Kenyan welterweight boxer Nick Abaka will live to curse Ugandan Michael Obin for keeping him out of next month's Beijing Olympic Games.

Abaka, who had already qualified for the games, had his jaw dislocated by Obin at the recently concluded East African Military Games in Kampala. The Kenyan has failed to recover from the injury in time and has been excluded from the five-member squad that had been picked for the games.

Kenya boxing body ABA, said yesterday they will give the boxer a special role to play in future competitions to reciprocate his efforts of securing the place for Kenya during the African championships.

Abaka's exclusion leaves Kenya's Hit Squad with only four boxers - Suleiman Bilali (Light-fly), Bernard Ngumba (Fly), Nick Okoth (Feather) and Aziz Abdul (Light-heavy).
