Two suspects, Ahmed Danjuma and Najeen Audu have been arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kogi State, for allegedly stealing 33,000 litres of crude oil in a petrol tanker from Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline passing through Lokoja to Kaduna state.

Parading the suspects before newsmen in Lokoja, the state commandant of the corp, Mr. Aneikan Etim Abasi explained that the suspects were arrested after a tip off.

According to him, "the suspects were arrested at about 2am on Monday night in a bush near Felele area after days of sleepless night by men of the command.

Items recovered from the suspects include pumping horse, iron cutters, generators and charms among others.

The corp boss therefore advised traditional rulers and youths of community that NNPC pipelines pass through to report strange movement to the command, stressing that the command is fully prepared to tackle the problem of vandals.
