Rugby Cranes opponents for this Saturday's 2010 Africa Cup and 2011 World Cup qualifier, the Markis from Madagascar are talking big.

The Markis, who were losing finalists in last year's CAR Africa Cup final against the Cranes in Antananarivo, were in fighting mood and confident of revenge when Daily Monitor visited their training camp at Kyadondo RFC.

The 22-man playing contingent led by Madagascar Rugby Union (MRU) President Zo Christian Adriansilavo and Coach Camille Ratsiima jetted into the country on Tuesday night and held a three-hour training session yesterday.

Speaking through a translator, Ratsiima who has been in charge of Markis for the last decade, thinks the game has the making of a classic.

"We are fully motivated as the prize at stake if we qualify is huge," Ratsiima said. Ratsiima, in white shorts and a black shirt, watered down last year's loss at home.

"Whenever you lose a game, you want to wake up the next day and correct your mistakes. So the onus is on us to deliver." Adriansilavo is positive that they will get the desired result. "After last year's final, we sat down and changed strategy so expect a totally different team," he warned.
