The Ministry of Urbanism and Environment is holding as from Wednesday in Caxito, the capital of northern Bengo province, its second consultative council to outline global urbanisation strategies, meant for housing foment in the country, Angop learnt.

During the three-day meeting, participants will also assess the activities carried out in the 2007/2008 period and outline actions for the coming four years.

The agenda includes themes such as Angolan Strategy on Climatic Alterations and the Kyoto Protocol, Climatic Alterations, Adaptation and Vulnerability, Current Situation of Urbanisation and Environment Legislation and the role of control.

At the opening ceremony, Bengo governor, Inocêncio Dombolo, said that during the six years of peace the Angolan Government has been making a great effort in seeking solutions to improve people's living standards.
