Embaderho

In line with the ongoing soil and water conservation activities in different parts of the country, over 20, 000 different tree seedlings have been planted in Embaderho, Serejeka sub-zone.

The chairperson of the NUEW branch office in the area, Ms. Alganesh Andemichael, indicated that more than 450 members of the Union took active participation in the campaign aimed at promoting sound ecology.

She further explained that different tree seedlings that could make due contribution in boosting bee farming have also been planted through the undertaking. Ms. Alganesh went on to say that the members of the NUEW are also actively engaged in the construction of embankments and terracing.

Reports indicated that over 700,000 tree seedlings have already been distributed to farmers so as to reinforce the national afforestation program. 85% of the trees planted earlier have already mushroomed, the reports added.
