Angola: Opposition Parties Get Funds for Electoral Campaign

At least 12 out of the 14 political parties have already received their funds for the electoral campaign, ahead of next September 05 legislative polls, on Wednesday said the spokesperson of the National Electoral Commission, João Carlos Van-Dúnem, Angop has learnt.

Speaking to Angop, he explained that until 12 o'clock 12 parties had already received the funds through their bank accounts, thus remaining only PPE coalition and the opposition PRD.

According to the source, both parties have already handed over their documentation and it is likely that by this afternoon they will get the money.

Each party is entitled to receive more than USD one million.
