Kampala

THE residents of Wabinyonyi sub-county in Nakasongola district are to petition the minister of works, John Nasasira, over the stone quarrying problem in their area which has left over 100 residents homeless after their houses collapsed due to the stone quarrying exercise.

Speaking to the victims at the sub-county headquarters recently the area LC3 chairperson, Daniel Ssenyimba, said the on-going construction of the Kampala-Gulu highway by Energo constructors has displaced many residents who now shun the road repairs.
