The head of the National Social Security Fund has been sent on a 90- day leave pending retirement.

Labour minister John Munyes has taken the decision as Ms Lumbasyo has reached the retirement age.

He has appointed Mr Fred Rabongo as the acting Managing Trustee before a procedural recruitment by the board is done.

Mr Munyes said that the fund needs a complete overhaul and changes to that effect will be made.

He accused the board of impropriety.
