Ahead of Leone Stars' crucial 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Equatorial Guinea in Freetown, Mohamed Kallon has provided financial aid to boost the team's preparation.

Following Coach Ahmed Kanu's recent blast at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and the government for not providing necessary facilities for the team's preparation, Kallon decided to single-handedly carry the responsibilities.

It was reported that Kallon has paid for the air tickets of all his teammates who will be coming for the game and also made a down payment of $10,000 at Cape Sierra Hotel for their camping and lodging.

Recently, top hotels and guest houses which formed the Hotel and Entertainment Center Federation Association (HECFA), took a stiff stance against SLFA over alleged unpaid bills but the efforts of Kallon, Coach Kanu and Mohamed Gento has led HECFA to reverse the decision.

Speaking to Concord Sports, Vice President of HECFA, Mohamed Umar Jalloh said, "We decided to reverse our decision after Kallon, Coach Kanu and Gento intervened and promised to pay half of the due owed. Kallon is our hero that is why we accepted to lodge the team based on a gentleman agreement." "We only pray they will honour their debts after the match as the present cost of running hotels is expensive," Jalloh added as he expressed disappointment at SLFA saying HECFA will only do business with the association on a payment basis.
