There are speculations that Coach Christian Cole will pick up his job again as head coach of the national U-17 team and Alhaji Unisa Alim Sesay aka Awoko will quit his position as the team's coordinator.

Concord Sports yesterday confirmed that the executive of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) held a closed door meeting with Coach Cole asking him to reverse his quitting decision.

Sources close to SLFA secretariat stated that the association's decision to call on the coach angered Awoko which made him threaten to quit his current position in the team.

But while speaking to Concord Sports yesterday, Awoko denied making such a statement saying it is the SLFA executive that has the right to take any decision on Coach Cole.

"Let the press allow us to run the game in the country. It is only the SLFA executive that has the right to take decision on Coach Cole's matter. He cannot abandon and take up a whole national team the way he wants it. He must explain his decision to the SLFA executive which I am a member of," Awoko said.

However, information from sources close to Coach Cole has it that he will not take up the team unless his travel allowances are paid. It was also revealed that the coach was unhappy about the 4-1 defeat of Sierra Stars and that his decision to quit before the team left for The Gambia was to set precedent.
