The body of the Alaye Oba of Ode Remo Late Oba Funso Adeolu, alias Chief Eleyinmi of the now rested Village Headmaster series who joined his ancestors last week in London Hospital has returned to the country awaiting his funeral and putting paid to the speculations which heralded the news of his death.
The three months mandatory rites for his funeral has also commenced.
A High Chief of the Late Oba Aare Kola Oyefeso confirmed this last week adding that an Oba is not buried.
Controversy almost marred the news of the death of the Alaye Ode of Ode Remo when it filtered into space last week but was refuted by one of his wives who said that it was a lie and cursed all who were spreading the so called unfounded rumour.
Oba Adeolu attended Methodist Grammar school Lagos before proceeding to the London School fo Journalism in 1962 and returned to Nigeria to join the Ministry of Education as an education officer.
He joined the group of classroom teacher plying his trade at Kings College, Lagos. From Kings college, Adeolu went to work at Texaco Nigeria as Area Manager in 1968.
In 1970, Late Chief Eleyinmi went to work for the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation as a sports commentator.
He worked at NBC for about five years before leaving for Rank Xerox as Training Manager. It was two years later in 1977 that he ventured into private business serving in the area of advertising, public relations and film production was born Adeolu's death brings it to three, the number of Village Headmaster actors who have died in the last few months. First was Joe Layode(Garba), followed by Oba Wole Amele (Councillor Balogun)
Apart from the role of Eleyinmi, Late Oba Adeolu also featured in NTA Things Fall Apart as Ezeugo and also produced his own soap opera titled The Millers.
