Mr. Tesfai Gebreselassie, Minister of Energy and Mines, who is currently in Australia on a working visit, held discussion with mining companies and investors in the country on the available mining opportunities and prospects in Eritrea, especially in the mining sector.

Also in the course of a visit to a mining laboratory in the city of Perth, the Minister observed its activities and received briefings by pertinent managers and heads. Moreover, he is taking part in a conference underway in that city which is being attended by representatives of over 200 companies from Australia and other countries.

Mr. Tesfai is also scheduled to hold talks with his Australian counterpart, Mr. Martin Fergusen, and other officials on bilateral relations and possible cooperation in the domains of energy and mining.
