After big shots' concerts flopped, so many music lovers predicted a similar scenario for new boys on the block Mowzey Radio and Weasle's Zuena, Lwaki Onumya concert held at Little Flowers on Friday.
But trust the duo, the concert simply turned out a fresh breath of life into what might be the come back of the once famous Little Flowers Bar and Club. Thousands of revellers crammed the dusty hall as early as 6p.m. and by 8p.m. Mc Kats kicked off the show.
The show was marred by sound glitches, but the crowd seemed taken by the performances. Musicians including David Lutalo (Kapapala), Azizi Azion, Morris Hassa, DJ Michael, Rachael K, Benon and Vampos, Lyrical G,and Bella put up very energetic perfomances, but for some reason that we might all have a clue about, former Blu*3 singer Cindy received the biggest applause.
Radio and Weasle stepped on stage at about midnight and peformed a couple of hits they did while still in Jose Chameleone's Leone Island. But besides taking a trip down the memory lane, the duo sarcastically wanted to create a comparison of them as "Islanders" and their current status in Good Lyfe Entertainment.
Radio and Weasle sang songs including Ngamba, Nakudata, Nakutamani, Lwaki Onumya, and Zuena. When it was time to perform Zuena, Weasle stopped the music and went ahead to openly attack Bebe Cool, saying that after his recent Omunene concerts turning out flops, he "automatically" lost the Omunene (Big size) title to them and now he's referred to as Omutono (the small one).
The duo unveiled another provocative song titled Lwaki Onondola? (Why do you stalk me). In the intro of the song, Mowzey refers to himself as Omunune Munene and Weasle as Big Masavu.
Radio and Weasle took a special moment to thank the crowd for turning up for all their concerts and for voting for them in this year's Pam award nominations. To show their gratitude, the duo went ahead to redo songs upon the crowds' request.
