President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has lauded Muslims for the successful end of Ramadan, describing the Holy Month as a manifestation of love and fear of God. In a statement marking the occasion, the Liberian leader urged the Muslim community in the country to profess peace and friendliness with sincerity, passion and commitment.

The President reminded Liberians in general and Muslims in particular to consider one another as companions working to satisfy the Almighty God for the common good of the country. She urged them to wholeheartedly join Government's Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS), describing the initiate as the surest way to transform Liberia in generations to come.

The Liberian leader further advised Muslims to end the Holy Month of Ramadan with the fear of the Almighty God and take courage, while exercising patience and continuing on the path of love and peace. The President encouraged Muslims to continue to pray for stability and total reconciliation.
