THE head of the Ahmadiyya muslim association, Zahid Inayatullah, has urged followers to pray for the families of muslims killed for their faith, reports.

"I would like us to dedicate this day to the families of those who lost their dear ones the world over because of Islam," Inayatullah said.

He made the call during Idd celebrations at the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Wandegeya, Kampala, on Tuesday.

Inayatullah cited some followers who were murdered in Pakistan recently, among them a doctor who was killed while treating patients.

He appealed to the Muslims to pray for the widows and orphans. "Pray that the Almighty gives them strength. it's not easy to forget dear ones," Inayatullah said.
