Eritrea: Ministry Extends Educational Materials to Needy Students in Massawa

Massawa

The Ministry of Labour and Human Welfare branch office in the Northern Red Sea region extended educational materials in assistance to 170 needy students in Massawa, according to Mr. Russom Hizbai, head of social security in the office.

The gesture is in line with the Ministry's efforts to encourage students not to withdraw from classes due to socio-economic problems, in addition to enabling them become productive.

Moreover, Mr. Russom indicated that the branch office is offering vocational training to 20 street children in electronics, mechanics, wood and metal works, among others. A similar training was also given to 15 street children last year, he added.
