Tunis — Tunis, August 29, 2008-It has just been announced in Tunis that the Carthage Eagles and Herha Berlin attacker Amine Chermiti, will not play against Burkina Faso on September 6, 2008 in Ouagadougou, in a combined African Cup and World Cup 2010 qualifier.
The attacker who suffered from a knee injury during a UEFA cup match between Hertha Berlin and Ljubliana, will be absent from competition for several months. The first division German team won the game 1-0, qualifying for the Cup following its 2-0 victory in the first leg.
Chermiti's name had been originally retained by Tunisia's coach Umberto Coelho, to play against Burkina faso in the list of 25 players; selected to take part in the African Cup and World Cup qualifier.
Chermiti who is 20 played for the Tunisian Club, Etoile Sportive du Sahel before joining Hertha Berlin this summer, for a 2,2 million Euro contract.
