Security guards at Sitore Security Services are fuming after their employer failed to pay their wages for two months in a row.

About 15 of the workers at the company allege that their employer, Sitore Security Services, has been dodgy and failed to pay them their dues.

Two of the employees told New Era on Wednesday that for two months their lives have been a living hell as they could not feed their families or meet other household needs despite having been deployed as guards.

"I have been forced to move in with my brother and for the past two months he has been feeding and generally providing for me," lamented one worker, who declined to be named for fear of repercussions.

His colleague says his wife has been fending for the family of four children as well as him through selling sweets and other small items by the roadside.

Yesterday, the security company confirmed its failure to pay its workers for August and September due to financial constraints.

However, the workers yesterday received their September salaries and an agreement has been reached as to when the salaries for August will be paid.

The workers will receive the outstanding amount in two weeks' time, said the employer.
