High riding Bayelsa United says their good form this season is as a result of gains from their pre-season trip to Ghana.

Bayelsa United have won 4-0 at home to Niger Tornadoes and last weekend drew 1-1 against Sharks in Port Harcourt.

Media officer, Ebi Avi told KickOffNigeria.com that their preseason tour of Ghana was very successful that they are seeing the results in the League.

"The tour was a good success. We used it to try out new players in different positions and the coaches were able to get an idea of how to use the players during the League," Avi said.

"We started the League with a plan to finish amongst the first two and we believe we are on course.

"In Ghana we played seven matches, won one, lost one and drew five and that was because we were experimenting. Now we are in the real business and the results do not surprise us.
