The Angolan writer Roderick Nehone released last Thursday a book of tales entitled "Uma bÃ'ia na tormenta", which talks about the Angolan daily life, particularly the country's capital city.

The book was edited by the Angolan Writers Union (UEA) and it comprises 12 stories. According to the writer, the book talks about issues related the Angolan man's battles, his aspirations and surprises in life.

"In this book, with 1000 copies and 103 pages, is also illustrated our dreams, and mainly the prospect of having a better society, a better country (...)", he said.

He also said that the writing of this book was inspired by the national current reality, such as road traffic, the struggle for scarce goods to satisfy human needs and the existing philosophical concepts about Angola.

On her turn, the writer Kanguimbu Ananás said that this book is extremely important as it reflects on the Angolan social dynamic, such as the bad behaviour of the taxi drivers, who often infringe the road traffic rules.

Love, emotions, altruism acts of the Angolan youths before other people's suffering and the appeal of conscience change regarding negative behaviours, are creatively discussed in the literary work "Uma BÃ'ia na Tormenta", she said.

Roderick Nehone, literary pen-name of Frederico Manuel dos Santos e Silva Cardoso, was born on 26 March 1965 in Luanda.
