The Founder and Leader of the Arise Ghana Campaign, Mr. Bishop Boateng, has pleaded with Ghanaians to reform and portray lives pleasing to God, in order to ensure peaceful elections on December 7th.
"The Lord will send signs to show that there will be a peaceful election, and there shall be no bloodshed, and those who will attempt to rig the election and cause violence, will be exposed," Bishop Boateng noted.
He was speaking at the 4th Arise Ghana Campaign press conference, held at the Gloryland Hotel, on Tuesday, where he further pointed out that a statement made at their last press conference, held on Friday 29th August this year, had come to pass.
According to him, they predicted that God was going to visit the nation, and cause it to strike oil in very large commercial quantities on land and sea, which magnitude was going to be more than that of Iraq. Bishop Boateng passionately noted, "God is going to expose corrupt and power drunk politicians, blood thirsty and recalcitrant nation wreckers, and individuals who shall pose a serious threat to the next president."
The next president, he indicated, was going to be someone from God's own heart; one who fears God and will lead the country with a good heart.
The Bishop intimated that before Ghana could have peaceful election, all Ghanaians should make it a point to pray fervently; the media should be cautious in their reportage; political leaders should educate their members to comport themselves, and allow God to determine the result.
Bishop Boateng observed that the Electoral Commission should ensure that it lived up to the constitutional mandate of supervising the election in a peaceful, free and fair manner.
The Arise Ghana Campaign is an inter-domination Christian organisation, which offers prayers for the country.
