Bafana Bafana will have an unfamiliar supporter this evening when they take on Equatorial Guinea.

African National Congress President Jacob Zuma will attend the match to offer support to the team in this match that will be played in the capital Malabo on Saturday evening , the ruling party says.

"The President of the ANC, Jacob Zuma, will be attending the Bafana Bafana game in Equatorial Guinea this afternoon to boost moral and support the team," says ANC spokesperson, Jessie Duarte.

There is nothing to play for against Equatorial Guinea for the Joel Santana-coached Bafana except pride, after a disastrous campaign saw them getting knocked out of the African Nations Cup.

The Nzalang Nacional did not fare any better either and will not make it to the 16-team tournament to be played in Angola.

Bafana lost twice to Nigeria, once to Sierra Leone, drew against Equatorial Guinea and managed a solitary win against Sierra Leone.
