Nigeria: Tractor Lease Hits the Rock in Kebbi

Birnin Kebbi — Kebbi State has not been given any tractors for leasing to farmers, director of the federal ministry of agriculture in the state, Mr Kelvin Tekpat, has said.

He said: "The tractor programme is supposed to be private sector driven; the federal government is just to support the private sector as they are the ones that will drive the process. Our stock shop agro centres in Kebbi are designed as integrated input centres for both fertilisers and tractors. But, we have not received anything yet."
