South Africa: Drop Data Prices or Else - Competitions Commission

Cape Town — South Africa's Competition Commission finds that data price is "excessively high" in a market dominated by MTN and Vodacom.

Minister of Trade and Industry Ebrahim Patel spoke during the release of the final report on data charges.

The commission has ordered service providers to reduce prices in two months or face prosecution.
