SADC Leaders Demand Self-Rule, Decolonisation of Western Sahara

The Solidarity Conference by the Southern African Development Community in support of the decolonisation of Western Sahara and the holding of a referendum on self-determination for the Saharawi people is an "explicit" message to Morocco to stop its "illegal exploitation" of the disputed territory's natural resources, Brahim Ghali, President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, has said.

South Africa and Namibia co-host the SADC Solidarity Conference on Western Sahara in Pretoria.
