How Huawei Helped Uganda Spy on Bobi Wine & Zambia Attack Critics

Huawei technicians helped authorities in Uganda to intercept encrypted messages to penetrate a WhatsApp chat group in which musician and politician Bobi Wine is a member, according to an extensive investigation by the Wall Street Journal. Ugandan authorities allegedly used messages in the WhatsApp group to prevent street rallies from taking place and arrested Wine and dozens of his supporters. In Zambia, the Journal says Huawei technicians helped the government access  phones and Facebook pages of opposition bloggers
